I was hesitant at first
I was hesitant at first. I worried that it would be a waste of money and just one more item to clutter up my tiny apartment. I wondered where I would even put it – space was incredibly limited in my suite. But, after I did some research, I learned that armoires come in a variety of sizes and styles, and the price range varies. There really does seem to be something for everyone when it comes to armoires, regardless of your price range, space limitations, or desired style. I decided that a tall, skinny one would be the best for me, because it would take up the least amount of space. But, then I found something even better.
What I stumbled upon was an armoire that is mounted right to the wall. This was perfect for me, because it hardly took up any space at all. The one I selected is beautiful oak, and blends in nicely with the rest of the furnishings in my apartment. It also doubles as a mirror, which is a neat feature. It has a mirror on the top, and compartments along the sides and bottom for my jewelry. Now I’m able to put everything away where it belongs. It’s no longer taking over my apartment, and I can find what I’m looking for without all that frustration and panic to which I’d grown accustomed. My jewelry armoire is something that I know I’ll use for years to come, and that makes the cost of it seem worthwhile. As an avid jewelry collector, it’s important to me to know that my prized possessions are safe and that I can find them quickly and easily.
the value of pearl jewelry
Coke vs. Pepsi. Mac vs. PC. Star Wars vs. Star Trek. Now a new rivalry can be added to the list: Tungsten vs. Titanium. It’s the latest debate in men’s wedding bands and jewelry. But what are the sides all about in this war? Well perhaps my personal experience with both can guide you.
For starters, I have never been too much of a ring guy. In fact, I never really wore much of any jewelry. I had a class ring that was nice, but as with most class rings (and championship rings), it was way too large to wear on a regular basis. Fast forward to a couple of months before my wedding day, and I was having to choose a wedding band that epitomized my feelings and life-long commitment to my soon-to-be wife. I had researched a couple of options: silver, white gold (not a yellow gold kind of guy), and titanium. Of the three, titanium was cost effective, and, oh let’s get to the point, “cool.” It was a different kind of wedding band metal, something I hadn’t seen many other guys choosing. When I chose my titanium band, the first thing I noticed was how light it was. I never felt it on my hand. Unfortunately, on the first day of my honeymoon I noticed them. Scratches. They were all over the nice looking brushed surface. My wedding band was looking abused! And on the first full day of wearing it! I tried to hide the scratches by rubbing and polishing it, to no avail. I even had a friend that was a jeweler polish it, and although it shone brightly, I still noticed all the little scuff marks on my titanium ring.
